Infant Aquatics - 2 to 4 Years

(1-2 year age group to be resumed later this year)

Rikki with swimming toddler

This programme is aimed at teaching toddlers and younger children the survival sequence SWIM•float•SWIM™.

Children will learn to swim a short distance with their faces fully submerged, to roll onto their backs and float and rest whenever they need to breathe, and then to flip back onto their tummy to continue to swim to safety. Even if you have already done the floaters boot camp with us, we will again simulate all possibilities and teach children to perform the sequence whilst fully clothed. The survival sequence is an extremely important part of the foundation in order for children to begin developing strokes.

These sessions are 10 minutes long and are taught privately. They take place 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) for 6 consecutive weeks (or 24 lessons).

Once your toddler has graduated from the short 6-week programme and achieved the SFS milestone, we then move them to group lessons once a week to maintain their new skills alongside a maximum of 3 other swimmers to build confidence, and of course have fun in the water.

In order for the programme to be fully effective, and for your toddler to attain the necessary skills, they need to come for 6 weeks. This is a small commitment with the reward of their safety.

While it is intense, it is definitely still fun with tons of toys and games.

Results are in weeks not years!
